WHAT IS NEXT ENERGY


Next Energy is an initiative promoted by Terna, Cariplo Foundation and Cariplo Factory. The initiatives main objectives are to promote the development of talented young professionals, to support the development of innovative projects in fields related to the theme “A leading role in energy transition” through the research and adoption of new solutions and technologies able to make the electricity system flexible and responsive to changes, improving its safety, efficiency and sustainability.

Next Energy is aimed at new graduates in the fields of Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Economics (Call for Talents).

Next Energy also includes two Call for teams of innovators, startuppers and innovative companies to be supported through an incubation program (“Call for Ideas“) and engagements with Terna (“Call for Growth“).


Next Energy offers ten young new graduates the opportunity to complete a six-month internship at Terna. The internship is delivered through an initial training period held at the Terna Campus followed by on-the-job training at one of Terna’s offices as part of an innovative project management team.

At the end of the program, the Next Energy Panel will select the team with the most potential. The winner will be awarded a € 50,000 voucher to put towards services designed to further develop the project’s business prospects.
